So, continuing the series of reviewing movies and shows during the lockdown period, our today’s pick is the RGV short film Thriller. The film is available on Shreyas ET APP and let’s see how it is.
Sameer(rock Kachi) and Megha(Apsara Rani) are close friends. After going around in the city, they come back home. But in Sameer’s mind, his only motto is to have sex with Megha. What all does he do to woo Megha and what problems does he face is the whole story of the short film.
Apsara Rani is good with her glamor show and does not inhibit one percent to showcase it. This might go well with a bunch of teenagers who like exposing. Rock Kachi is also okay in his role and tried hard to do his best in the given character. There are not many characters and the runtime is below thirty minutes and this is the best part of the film which saves the audience.
Once again, RGV does his best to disappoint his fans. What all he showcased in the trailer is exactly there in the film. The so-called thrills do not impress you one bit. RGV’s weird angles continue to come out in abundance and one gets a feel as to what RGV is even thinking while making such films.
In 24 minutes of runtime, there is absolutely nothing apart from some skin show and one or two thrills. The BGM, silly camera angles, and lack of any story whatsoever just kill your interest at once. There is no seriousness in RGV’s films these days and it is very sad to see such a legendary director make such cheap stuff and fool his audience.
Final Word :
As expected, once again, RGV does his best to disappoint and irritate the audience with his film Thriller. Just to make a short film, he chooses a heroine and opts for some skin show and cheap thrills that do not impress one bit. All we say is to save the two hundred rupees worth ticket of this film and buy a subscription of an OTT channel for a specific time and watch some good stuff online. Just stay away from this nonsense.
